Hi, I am Berkin Işık. I am from 9/B class in Tepeören Campus of Şişli Terakki High School. I began to The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award programme last year when I was in the prep class. When I first began to the programme, for a long time, I had doubts about how would complete the activities. However, I recognized that, the important thing was what I do during the Award Programme and enjoying or not enjoying my time. I held an exhibition of sculptures that I made in my skill development sessions. In the field of social service, I found the chance to develop communication skills with other people while giving lectures to children. I played ping-pong for physical training field. As a result of this, I was able represent my school in some contests. Adventurous Journey camp that we went at the end of the year was a milestone for me. From time to time we laughed, time to time we complaint due to difficulties. However, I don’t regret for any moment that I experienced. Because I gained priceless memories with my friends. I’d like to thank to our Award Leaders: Şafak Uçur and Seçil Erberdi who provided full support to attend to the programme and made us happy.
